Biking Vietnam – Laos 2013
Biking Vietnam – Laos 2013 is a 473s length video by Kenneth Koh posted on Vimeo on 2013-03-04 13:19:44.
In February 2013, a few friends and I got together to ride our bikes for 10 days across northern Vietnam into northern Laos, circling into the mysterious Plain of Jars at Phonsavan before ending our journey in Luang Prabang. It was just after Tet, the Vietnamese New Year. A lot of places we still closed, or had raised their prices. The weather was cool in the evenings, hot in the day, and we had just one really wet day. We had a sag wagon with us, so if the day got too long, we could hop in and hitch a ride. In total, we rode about 900km with about 15,000m of vertical gain in 10 days. We had some long, hard biking days, sometimes pretty basic accommodation, but experienced the land, people and culture in a way that can only be experienced on a bicycle.
All in all, a good trip!
